Job Description Join Heritage Bag — Can Liner Division Step into a senior operator role where your mastery of blown-film extrusion and bag-making keeps essential products moving every day. Here’s what a typical shift looks like when you lead our production floor. A day in the life You arrive and survey the lines, confirming resin blends, temperatures, and pressures are on spec. You ready the next run, planning product changeovers so uptime stays high. As film emerges, you watch gauge, bubble stability, and layflat, dialing in the process for quality. During the shift, you rotate to the bag machines, keeping seals crisp and perforations clean. You log production and scrap, secure finished pallets, and hand off seamlessly to the next team. What you’ll own • Run blown-film extruders to produce film for trash can liners, • Operate bag-making equipment for plastic bag production, • Plan and execute product changeovers efficiently, • Complete routine machine checks, including screen swaps, blade changes, and Teflon tape replacement, • Escalate equipment issues to supervisors and maintenance promptly, • Control quality and throughput to meet line standards, • Enter production counts and scrap accurately in the system, • Wrap, weigh, and secure pallets of finished goods, • Champion and enforce safety policies and procedures, • Support breaks, meal periods, and shift changeovers to maintain coverage, • Take on additional duties as assigned What you bring, • High school diploma or GED, • Manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment, • 3+ years of machine operation experience, • Hands-on background with blown-film extrusion equipment, • Ability to run Glouster 418–type bag machines (preferred), • Experience with CMD Rotary bag machines and winders (preferred), • Familiarity with polyethylene resin conveying and blending equipment, • Strong organization and clear communication skills, • Basic computer proficiency Core competencies, • Mechanical troubleshooting, • Machine safety inspections, • Setting up equipment for efficient production runs, • High School / GED
