🚀 Operations Manager — Keep Nio Robotics running, ready, and field-deployable 🌐 Position overview 🤝 Nio Robotics is building Aru, a general-purpose robot designed for demanding industrial tasks on steel infrastructure (de-coating, painting, welding prep, inspection, constrained-space interventions…). We’re growing fast, and we need someone who makes sure everything around the teams and the robot runs smoothly. As Operations Manager, your core mission is simple: keep things running. You’ll support Product Managers and VPs by anticipating needs, removing friction, and owning execution on day-to-day operations, field logistics, partner support, and import/export workflows. If you love being the person who sees what’s missing before anyone asks, gets it organized, and drives it to completion, this role is for you. 🎯 Your mission • Be proactive: spot upcoming needs, risks, and bottlenecks, and resolve them early., • Be the execution owner for operational topics that support product development, demos, and partnerships., • Make Nio Robotics consistently field-ready: robot, tools, equipment, shipping, and onsite logistics. 🧩 Work & Responsibilities Own preparation for client demos, trade shows, and field trials: • Ensure the robot is ready, configured, and packaged., • Prepare mission-specific material : tools, consumables, PPE, fixtures, spares., • Organize shipping : customs paperwork, export constraints, lead times, carriers, and packaging requirements, insurance, timelines., • Coordinate with Product Managers and technical leads to surface what must be delivered for the event : features, payload readiness, validation., • Coordinate contractors (cleaning, security, maintenance, etc.)., • Organize office setup and improvements: installing desks, rooms, storage, tools, workshop materials., • Ensure safety and compliance for anything related to machines, workshop layout, protective gear, and on-site practices., • Shared material shipments or loaned equipment, • Access to shared tooling (cloud, chat, accounts), • Organizing mutual visits (on-site logistics, schedules, access, PPE requirements), • Help maintain a clean, efficient operational interface between Nio and its ecosystem. ✅ Skills & profile Must-have traits: • Proactive and self-driven: you identify needs by yourself, gather requirements, and execute without waiting for perfect instructions., • Organized to the core: you build checklists, track topics, and finish what you start, no loose ends., • You’re handy and comfortable with technical environments: workshop, tools, machines., • You can manage items around the robot: tools/payload accessories, protective equipment, safety practices, packing/rigging constraints., • You’re not afraid to get into the details when needed: what to pack, how to protect a component, what PPE is required for a given tool.
