Specialist Clinical Manager - Neuro Complex Care\n\nWe are seeking an exceptional Specialist Clinical Manager (RGN) to lead and elevate the clinical function within this high-acuity neuro rehabilitation environment. This specialist Neuro Complex Care service supports individuals with high nursing needs, Acquired Brain Injury, and a wide range of complex neurological conditions. A dedicated team of registered nurses, support workers, and in‑house therapists deliver integrated, outcome‑driven care that blends neuro‑rehabilitation with clinical complexity.\n\nWorking closely and reporting directly to the Registered Manager, you will oversee all clinical operations, strengthen clinical practice, and support the development of a high‑performing nursing team. The service achieved Good across all KLOEs and is now focused on growth, reputation enhancement, and clinical excellence.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nClinical Leadership - Lead, mentor, and develop the nursing team, embedding a culture of high‑end, evidence‑based clinical practice.\n\nComplex Respiratory & Critical Care Oversight - Provide expert leadership in tracheostomy care, deep suctioning, ventilation support, and management of complex respiratory needs.\n\nNeuro‑Rehabilitation Excellence - Ensure clinical pathways support recovery, independence, and measurable rehabilitation outcomes.\n\nGovernance & Quality Improvement - Drive continuous improvement, maintain compliance, and support the service in achieving higher CQC ratings.\n\nMDT Collaboration - Work closely with psychology, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy to deliver cohesive, person‑centred care.\n\nService Development & Reputation Building - Support strategic initiatives to enhance the service's profile, increase occupancy, and strengthen referral pathways.\n\nCompetency Frameworks - Lead on clinical training, competency assessments, and professional development for the nursing team.\n\nRisk & Safety Management - Ensure robust clinical risk assessments, incident reviews, and safe systems of work.\n\nEssential Requirements\n\nRegistered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration.\n\nExperience in neuro‑rehabilitation, critical care, respiratory care, or other high‑acuity clinical environments.\n\nProven leadership experience\n\nStrong understanding of CQC standards and clinical governance.\n\nAbility to inspire, coach, and develop a diverse clinical workforce.\n\nConfident working within a multidisciplinary environment including psychology, SALT, and therapy teams.\n\nDesirable\n\nPost‑registration qualifications in critical care, neuro‑rehabilitation, or respiratory care.\n\nExperience in service development, reputation building, or occupancy growth.\n\nUnderstanding of commissioning pathways for neuro‑rehab and complex care.\n\nWhat This Role Offers\n\nThe opportunity to shape a service with strong financial foundations and significant growth potential.\n\nA leadership role with real influence over clinical standards, culture, and service identity.\n\nThe chance to build and develop a high‑performing nursing team
