Job Description: In a collective impact project with the High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire, Police and Crime Commissioner and some fantastic local partners and businesses, RockCorps are producing a concert at Rock City in April—the only way to get a ticket is to earn it by giving 4 hours of time at one of 20 Nottingham RockCorps volunteer projects. RockCorps is currently recruiting its operational team for this programme. Working under the supervision of the Project Leaders, the Project Coordinators are responsible for creating and executing around ten community projects between March 21 and April 8, 2026, as part of the Nottingham RockCorps programme. Projects take place on weekdays and/or weekends. This position requires flexibility in terms of schedule. Who are we? RockCorps is a pro-social marketing and entertainment company. We use music and culture to inspire action, providing the tools and opportunities for people to engage in their community through volunteering. One person, one concert, one city at a time: we mobilize a generation to change the world. Our platform is based on the "Give, Get Given" concept. We organize concerts where the only way to get a ticket is to participate in a 4-hour local volunteering project. To date, more than 200,000 volunteers have attended over 50 RockCorps concerts around the world. These volunteers have completed more than 800,000 hours of work benefiting over 2,700 associations and charities worldwide. Artists who have participated include Rihanna, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, Pharrell, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Maroon 5, A$AP Rocky, Ellie Goulding, Nas, Macklemore, Black Eyed Peas... Main Responsibilities: • Working with the rest of the projects team, plan and execute around ten community projects (painting, DIY, cleaning, gardening, sorting...) over 4 weeks, in the Nottingham area, • Identify, order, prepare and manage the equipment and supplies necessary for implementing each project, • Ensure, with the entire projects team, the production of these community projects, including: setup, welcoming and registration of volunteers, briefing and overseeing the tasks, health & safety, supervising volunteers, facilitation & packing down, • Guarantee that each volunteer project meets the RockCorps project charter: safety, volunteer-friendliness, impact, etc., • Be proactive and creative in proposing and implementing projects that are as fun for volunteers as they are useful for partner organizations, • Undertake explicit safeguarding responsibilities and risk assessments for all activities involving volunteers, • Ensure working-at-height and manual-handling safety compliance for all DIY tasks Required Profile: • You are energetic, organized and detail-oriented, • You have great interpersonal skills and a genuine team spirit, • You know how to demonstrate autonomy and initiative, and adapt to new situations, • You have good problem-solving skills and stress resistance, • You are based in Nottingham area and can travel around the area, • You have a sense of humour and are passionate about music, • Driving license required, • If you are creative and have real DIY talent - it's a plus!, • A genuine understanding of civic engagement, knowledge of the volunteering world and awareness of volunteers' expectations and constraints - also a plus, • If you have experience or qualifications in youth work or working with young people - a plus!, • Ideally, you have initial hands-on experience in event projects, • Skills or training in the one following would be useful, but not a requirement: Design, art, landscaping, painting & decorating, woodwork, content creation Contract Type: This is a fixed-term PAYE employment contract. Contract period: 18 March 2026 to 8 April 2026 Daily rate: £110 per day Working schedule: Approximately 5 days per week Line manager: Project Leader Location: Nottingham area Application closing date: 11 March 2026 Legal and Compliance Requirements Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Proof will be required prior to employment. This role may involve working with young people. Appointment may be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training.
