Job Title: Level 2 Learning Support Assistant Location: Rochdale Start date: Immediate Start About the Role We are seeking a caring and motivated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist ASC school. The school provides education for young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) who are working at a significantly lower developmental level and require tailored support to access learning and daily activities. This role involves working both providing 1:1 support within a Year 3 classroom, helping students develop communication, independence, and life skills in a safe and structured setting. Key Responsibilities • Support students with autism in classroom activities and structured learning sessions, • Provide 1:1 support to individual learners when required, • Assist the teacher in delivering differentiated lessons and activities, • Encourage communication, social interaction, and independence, • Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies, • Help with personal care where required, • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment, • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff Who We’re Looking For We welcome applications from candidates with a genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs.
