Role Purpose: Drive quality excellence for Lipton Teas and Infusions by ensuring UK and European quality requirements are met. Act as on-site Quality Business Partner — delivering compliance, cost recovery, and cultural excellence to position the factory as a European benchmark for quality performance. Provide technical and regulatory expertise across all R&I innovation projects to ensure products and processes meet Lipton standards, regulatory requirements, and consumer expectations. The role bridges R&I, Quality, Logistics, and Customer Care to drive compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement, and deputises for the Site Quality Manager when required. Key Responsibilities: Innovation & R&I Support • Act as Quality representative for all European R&I projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory, technical, and internal standards., • Provide regulatory and technical input during formulation, packaging, and supply chain stages., • Partner with R&I, Supply Chain, and Customer Care to ensure safe, compliant, and market-ready launches., • Develop and embed quality procedures and templates within innovation processes. Quality & Compliance Oversight • Manage UKI & Nordic Consumer Care KPI reporting and drive continuous improvement., • Oversee blocked stock, warehouse defects, and destruction processes in line with global standards., • Support distributor approvals and technical documentation for market compliance., • Maintain Consumer Related Quality Standards (CRQS) entries and manage Quality KPI dashboards (complaints, withdrawals, incidents)., • Lead Product Withdrawal/Recall processes ensuring traceability and compliance., • Maintain complaint and traceability documentation to ensure audit readiness., • Conduct local audits for new partners (warehouses, 3PMs, 3PLs, suppliers)., • Ensure HACCP, document control, and certification compliance., • Support harmonisation of audit templates and alignment with Group standards. Digitalisation & Process Improvement • Lead complaint performance reviews and translate insights into improvement actions., • Develop Power BI dashboards for complaint and withdrawal tracking., • Support digital tool development (e.g., Logistics Claims App, Quality Notification Form)., • Drive annual LMS improvement and tangible cost recovery initiatives. Customer Care & Training • Deliver training on quality procedures, compliance, and innovation requirements., • Act as SME for Quality onboarding and training., • Support Careline templates, feedback analysis, and corrective action follow-up. Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership • Represent Quality in logistics, innovation, and cross-market forums., • Partner with Customer Care, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs to resolve issues and mitigate risks., • Maintain FPOC documentation for logistics partners., • Deputise for the Site Quality Manager to ensure quality governance and audit readiness. Key Deliverables • Integrated quality and regulatory input across site and innovation projects., • Accurate blocked stock, destruction, and complaint records., • Embedded Consumer Care ways of working and site-wide training completion., • Consistent audit readiness and strong compliance culture., • Demonstrable cost recovery and efficiency improvements. Skills & Experience Required, • Proven Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs experience in FMCG, Food & Beverage, or related industry., • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, product compliance, and technical standards., • Skilled in KPI management, data analysis, and digital reporting tools., • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills., • Ability to prioritise, lead quality initiatives, and deputise at Quality Manager level., • Track record of driving audit readiness, compliance, and continuous improvement.
