After delivering our 20% market share goal of "one in five" in 2023, we have launched our new goal - Mission 365 - targeting £365 million of sales We are currently recruiting for a Shunter Driver to join our transport team on a permanent basis. The role reports to the Transport Nights Supervisor and provides vital distribution support to Topps Tiles. The Role • Ensure trailers are legally compliant and to the correct standard for use, positioning the equipment on and off trailer bays as required to ensure the yard area is maintained in a clean, safe and organised condition. • Liaise with warehouse/transport personnel to ensure the correct equipment is positioned on and off the trailer bays, ensuring the flow is maintained, informing the Transport supervisors when equipment shortage will affect loading. • Complete a preloading check prior to putting the trailer on a bay. Including defects, service and Mot requirements. • Carry out full yard checks and completing all required documentation. • Direct incoming equipment and vehicles to the correct parking/loading areas. • Continue to drive all current VOR process • Assist with any yard/trailer related queries. • Assist with the opening and closing of curtains, and strapping down of pallets on the trailers The Person • Must possess a C+E license and a digital Tachograph Card. • Must have experience of driving commercial vehicles. • Ensure compliance with all current operational policies and procedures are met. • Ensure all Road Transport legislation and regulations are compiled to. • Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills. • Operate in a safe manner and adhere to all health and safety guidelines at all times • Focuses on delivering and exceeding expected standards and performance Must be willing to work as part of a team What we'll do for you In a culture where hard work is recognised and great results are rewarded; you can look forward to a company bonus that will give you a share of our success (up to 20% of your base salary).
