Our client, a leading packaging solutions provider based in Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire, is seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager to lead and align both their sales and marketing functions. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving revenue and margin growth, strengthening market presence, and ensuring a cohesive, insight-led commercial strategy across the business. \n The successful candidate will oversee the full sales operation, alongside developing and executing the company’s marketing strategy. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the commercial direction of the business at an exciting stage of growth. \n Key responsibilities \n \n Sales Leadership & Strategy \n\n • Lead, manage, and develop the entire sales function, including Field Sales, Internal Account Management, and Business Development teams\n, • Set and deliver sales targets, forecasts, and budgets aligned with overall business objectives\n, • Report sales KPIs, optimisations, insights, and performance metrics to the leadership team\n, • Develop and implement a clear sales strategy to drive new business acquisition and account growth\n, • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reporting, insights, and improvement plans to the leadership team\n, • Coach and mentor the sales team to improve performance, capability, and engagement\n, • Identify new market opportunities, sectors, and routes to market\n, • Work closely with key customers to strengthen relationships and maximise long-term value\n, • Ensure effective pipeline management and CRM utilisation across all sales teams\n\n \n Marketing Strategy & Execution \n\n • Develop and execute a results-orientated multi-channel marketing strategy aligned with business goals\n, • Report marketing KPIs, optimisations, insights, and performance metrics to the leadership team\n, • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to develop new propositions and enhance existing ones\n, • Lead a new website implementation project\n, • Drive new product launches\n, • Shape the company brand narrative and ensure consistent messaging, with a focus on sustainability, innovation, and customer care\n, • Digital & Campaign Management\n, • Website & SEO: Maintain and update website, lead SEO & AdWords strategies, and analyse performance metrics\n, • Social media & email marketing: Build and manage targeted campaigns end-to-end and analyse performance\n, • Content creation: Plan and produce high-quality written content across platforms\n, • Regularly test and optimise campaigns to reduce CPC and CPL, and improve ROI\n\n \n Sales & Marketing Alignment \n\n • Ensure strong alignment between sales and marketing to maximise lead generation and conversion\n, • Develop lead generation strategies that support the sales pipeline\n, • Implement processes for lead tracking, nurturing, and conversion through CRM\n, • Conduct market, customer, and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities\n\n \n Systems & Reporting \n\n • CRM management and optimisation across both sales and marketing functions\n, • Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to track performance across all commercial activities\n, • Manage external agencies and third-party suppliers effectively and within budget\n\n Requirements \n\n • Proven experience in a senior sales and/or marketing leadership role\n, • Strong track record of managing and developing high-performing sales teams\n, • Experience in both strategic planning and hands-on execution across sales and marketing\n, • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, social, email)\n, • Proven success in B2B product sales and marketing environments\n, • Commercially driven with strong analytical and data interpretation skills\n, • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills\n, • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot or similar) and sales/marketing tools\n, • Highly organised with strong project management capability\n, • Able to work effectively independently and as part of a leadership team\n, • Experience in packaging or related industries is desirable but not essential\n, • Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and commercial systems\n\n Benefits \n\n • Salary of between £60,000 and £65,000 DOE (OTE £80,000)\n, • 25 days holiday + bank holidays\n, • Employee assistance programme\n, • Full time, permanent\n, • Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm (please note that this is an onsite position)\n\n \n IND25
