About the Role The Sales Manager is responsible for driving overall sales performance in the shop and managing key client base. This role combines hands-on retail sales leadership with strategic sale management, ensuring growth across both in-store and business-to-business (B2B) channels. You will lead the sales team, develop sales strategies and online channels, maintain strong customer relationships, and identify opportunities to increase revenue and brand presence. Key Responsibilities: • Sales & Business Development, • Develop and implement sales strategies for in-store, B2B, and online channels., • Identify, approach, and maintain relationships with B2B clients (restaurants, cafés, offices, catering companies)., • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and service agreements for wholesale clients., • Monitor sales trends, product performance, and customer behaviour to optimise product mix, pricing, and promotions., • Online Sales & Digital Presence, • Oversee 99 VietMart’s online sales channels: website, social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), Google My Business, and delivery platforms., • Ensure accurate and up-to-date product listings and pricing across all online platforms., • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, including social media promotions, Google Ads, and email/WhatsApp newsletters., • Analyse online performance metrics and adjust strategies to increase sales and engagement., • Staff Leadership & Training, • Train and coach staff in product knowledge, upselling, cross-selling, and customer service., • Set sales targets and track staff performance, providing feedback and incentives., • Ensure consistent in-store service quality and operational standards., • Promotions & Supplier Coordination, • Plan and execute seasonal and cultural promotions (e.g., Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival)., • Work with suppliers on co-branded promotions, product launches, and in-store tasting events., • Develop bundled offers and promotional campaigns to increase both retail and B2B sales., • Operational Management, • Monitor inventory levels, identify slow-moving items, and implement strategies to reduce waste., • Report on monthly KPIs including sales performance, online growth, B2B account progress, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)., • 3+ years of experience in retail sales management, account management, or a related role (food industry experience preferred)., • At least B2 English. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be directly responsible for sourcing products, managing stock, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring that the right items are always available for our customers. Key Responsibilities • Product Sourcing & Buying Select and purchase products that meet customer demand, seasonal trends, and shop standards. Research new products, brands, and local suppliers to keep offerings fresh and competitive. Negotiate prices, discounts, and delivery terms with vendors to secure the best value. • Supplier & Vendor Management Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and wholesalers. Place and follow up on orders to ensure on-time deliveries. Resolve issues quickly, such as late deliveries, product shortages, or quality concerns. • Inventory & Stock Control Monitor stock levels daily and reorder to avoid out-of-stock or overstock situations. Keep accurate records of purchases and stock movement. Work with shop staff to identify fast-moving products and adjust purchasing accordingly. Manage returns, damaged goods, and supplier credits. • Financial & Reporting Work within a set purchasing budget to control costs. Track expenses and maintain simple reports on purchases, costs, and sales performance of products. Look for opportunities to reduce costs and improve profit margins. • Team & Shop Support Collaborate closely with shop staff to understand customer preferences and requests. Support merchandising by ensuring the right products are available for displays and promotions. Help with stock checks, labelling, and organizing deliveries when needed. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred). Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Buyer, or in a similar procurement role, ideally in retail. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles. Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing/inventory management software. Analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
