Role Overview Project Coordination The Structured Cabling Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of structured cabling and network infrastructure projects. This role involves coordinating project activities, managing schedules, liaising with clients, contractors and engineers, ensuring installations are completed on time, within scope, and to required quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, scheduling, and delivering projects of varying size (copper, fibre and AV). Coordinate project timelines, resources, and logistics to ensure smooth execution. Ensuring that project documentation, materials and pre-requisites for project start are in place. Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Support project handovers, documentation, and close-out processes. Give direction to the Project Support Officer and provide instruction as required to ensure seamless integration of the project lifecycle Stakeholder Communication Act as a key point of contact between clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Schedule site visits, surveys, and installation activities. Ensure clear communication of project requirements, changes, and updates. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate project documentation including: RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) Produce progress reports and track key performance metrics. Progress Reporting Managing Staged Payments and Valuations Summaries Raising Interim Claims and Final Invoices Drawings and schematics Test results and certification As-built documentation Resource & Logistics Management Coordinate engineers, installation teams, and subcontractors. Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are ordered and delivered on time. Monitor stock levels and support procurement activities. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure all work complies with industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, ISO, BS EN). Promote adherence to health & safety regulations at all times. Support quality checks, testing, and commissioning processes. Key Skills & Experience Essential Experience working within structured cabling, telecoms, or IT infrastructure projects. Strong organisational and coordination skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Desirable Knowledge of copper and fibre cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, fibre optic). Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet). Understanding of health & safety regulations (e.g., CSCS, SSSTS). Experience with drawings, network diagrams, or Visio Qualifications Relevant experience in project coordination or administration within construction, telecoms, or IT infrastructure. Industry certifications (e.g., BICSI, CNCI, PRINCE2 Foundation) are advantageous but not essential.
