Situated in the heart of Ickenham, a small village in Greater London, is an established practice that is looking for a vet who thrives with being part of the community and is the “go to” vet for their beloved pets. About your new role! Although a sole charge position the caseload is perfectly manageable for a GP first opinion vet to step into. You will be able to comfortably balance your morning consultations, perform routine surgeries during the day, catch up on admin and then round up with evening consults. You will be fully supported by an incredible support team including Dawn and Alison, who have been at the practice for over 20 years and are very proud of the reputation the practice has built. In addition, you will be supported by a dedicated regional manager, and regional head vet to help you with any areas of clinical support you may need. Your full-time 40 hours are inclusive of a 1:3 branch Saturday and 1:8 hospital Sunday rotation, in addition to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Mandeville Hospital with time off in lieu. Although sole-charge, you will be fully supported by our 24-hour Mandeville Hospital in Northolt that is just a 10-minute drive from the practice, if you did need to refer any of your clients and their pets for more extensive treatment, or overnight hospitalisation. There is state of the art diagnostic support at the hospital with a new CT scanner, a diploma holder in imaging providing our CT and ultrasound service, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery on-site. Ickenham’s location is ideal with 2 main access roads including the M25 just 10 minutes away, yet it has the quint essential village feel. Ickenham also has an underground tube station on the metropolitan line, which takes you all over London within a few short stops, including Kings Cross and Liverpool Street. Now let’s get to the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you: The salary band for this sole charge 40 hourly week role inclusive of weekend rotation is £60,000 to £65,000 depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role. There are no on-call requirements for this role. What you'll do • Attend architecture calls to define user stories and document use cases in JIRA., • Define clear software interfaces to external modules and outline end-to-end deployment scenarios., • Contribute to feasibility assessments and delivery planning for proposed architectures., • Define and document software component architecture to support scalable, maintainable solutions., • Identify and implement technical changes required to meet specific project requirements., • Lead technical investigations, applying creative problem-solving and advanced debugging techniques., • Collaborate with third-party partners and suppliers to integrate their solutions into Sky's products., • Engage with the RDK-B community-leading working groups, proposing solutions, building consensus-and work closely with internal architects, hardware teams, and the Head of Department to drive innovation and transformation of the router stack.What you'll bring, • Strong software development experience in C/C++ on Linux, with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle., • Expertise in software architecture for IP routers and network devices (VoIP, DSL, GPON, DOCSIS, Wi-Fi), and familiarity with protocols like TCP/IP, SIP, RTP, PPP, DHCP, IPv4/IPv6, OpenSync, OVS, TR-069, and WebPA., • Excellent communication skills, able to adapt technical detail to suit different audiences, and a collaborative mindset that supports team success., • Highly organised and self-motivated, thriving in fast-paced environments with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively., • Creative and analytical thinker, with meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving and debugging skills., • Experience with RDK-B, Open WRT, or PRPL WRT is a significant advantage.
