School Administrator\n Location: Tunbridge Wells \n Salary: £33,500 per annum \n Contract: Full time, term time only \n Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year \n The Graduate Project is recruiting a highly organised and professional School Administrator for a specialist education setting in Tunbridge Wells. \n This is a varied, front-facing role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school. You will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, staff and external agencies, while providing essential administrative and attendance support. Key responsibilities\n\n • Manage the school reception, welcoming visitors and responding to telephone and email enquiries professionally.\n, • Provide administrative support to the senior leadership team, teaching staff and wider school team.\n, • Maintain accurate pupil records, files and confidential information.\n, • Support the administration of pupil attendance, including updating records and making first-day absence calls.\n, • Liaise sensitively with parents, carers, pupils and external professionals regarding attendance and school matters.\n, • Prepare attendance reports and data for internal monitoring and meetings.\n, • Manage correspondence, diaries, meeting arrangements and general office administration.\n, • Support admissions, enrolment and pupil transition processes where required.\n, • Maintain stationery, office supplies and school documentation.\n, • Ensure safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality procedures are followed at all times.\n, • Provide a friendly, professional and efficient service to everyone engaging with the school.\nAbout you\n\n, • Previous administration, reception or office-management experience, ideally within a school, education or similar environment.\n, • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.\n, • Confident communication skills and a calm, approachable manner.\n, • Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion.\n, • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office; experience using school systems such as SIMS or Arbor would be beneficial.\n, • An understanding of attendance processes and the importance of safeguarding would be advantageous.\n, • Able to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team.\n\n This role is subject to enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
