We are looking for Child and Adult Psychiatrists to join our ethical and trauma-informed Expert Witness service. The family court process can be incredibly stressful and at times re-traumatising for families. We want to do things differently. Our trauma-informed approach to assessments centres a focus on adversity, social determinants of mental health, and cultural competence. This is a flexible, self-employed role – you can complete as many or as few assessments as you choose, to suit you! We pride ourselves on the support and development we offer to our Experts – free monthly peer supervision, ongoing CPD opportunities, mentoring for those who are new to court work, as well as quality assurance and proof-reading support. ‘As a social enterprise, MCTS is the partner of choice for clinicians who value giving back as well as making a living.’ How does it work? • Your primary task will be completing complex psychiatric assessments of children and adults and writing reports for pre-proceedings or family court., • This is an affiliate, self-employed role., • You can pick and choose how much work you take on at any time with no pressure or minimum commitment., • Assessments can be virtual or face-to-face., • Our dedicated referrals co-ordinator will get to know your experience and availability and send you referrals that we think might suit – you let us know whether you’re interested and available., • £80 to £85 per hour (paid within 30 days). Up to 15 hours for an adult assessment (£1,275) or 25 hours for a child or adolescent (£2,125). Travel time and expenses are paid in addition., • When you’re ready to submit your report, we have a robust quality assurance process to support you and ensure the highest quality and consistency which includes support from a clinician as well as proof-reading and formatting support from our admin team., • We pay you within 30 days of filing your report, so you don’t have to worry about chasing payments from referrers! Position Title: Electrical Engineer – BESS Salary: DOE + bonus Location: United Kingdom Your New Employer You’ll be joining a globally respected energy solutions provider at the forefront of utility-scale battery energy storage. With growing demand in the UK and Ireland, the team is expanding and now looking for an Electrical Engineer who wants to sit close to the commercial action while still working hands-on with system design. Your New Role As Electrical Engineer, you’ll sit within the commercial team and act as the technical backbone for bids, tenders and customer proposals. From the first enquiry, you’ll interpret client specifications, develop electrical concepts and single line diagrams, size key components, and support the configuration of battery, inverter and balance-of-plant equipment. You’ll work closely with Senior Tendering Engineers and the sales team to translate customer requirements into compliant, optimised technical solutions – including layouts, loss calculations, cable schedules and protection philosophies – while feeding into costings and pricing models. You’ll liaise with product and R&D teams to validate configurations, support grid connection studies with an understanding of DNO/TSO requirements, and prepare the technical sections of proposals, presentations and clarifications. Over time, you’ll become a go-to person for practical design input on live opportunities, helping shape projects that can be delivered safely, efficiently and profitably. Your Background You’ll be a degree-qualified Electrical or Power Engineer and have some experience working on either BESS, Solar, Wind farms, Utility scale Water or Industrial projects. You understand how electrical systems are put together in the real world, from concept design and equipment selection through to installation and commissioning, and you are comfortable reading and producing single-line diagrams, cable sizing, and protection/coordination concepts. Exposure to grid-connected projects, DNO/TSO interfaces, and standards such as G99 or equivalent is highly valued. You enjoy working at the intersection of technical detail and commercial decision-making, are confident speaking with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders, and can balance compliance, performance and cost when proposing solutions.
