The Role We have an exciting opportunity for an Accommodation & Team Services Coordinator to join our Games Services team. In this role, you’ll play a key supporting part in the planning and coordination of accommodation and residential services for athletes and team officials during the Games. Glasgow 2026 will deliver a distributed accommodation model, with athletes and team officials staying across hotels, serviced apartments and university residences throughout the city rather than in a single Athlete Village. This approach requires careful coordination, strong organisation and effective communication across multiple partners and stakeholders. Working closely with the Games Services Manager and the Head of Accommodation & Team Services, you’ll support planning, administration and milestone tracking to ensure accommodation operations and team services are delivered successfully. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in major international event delivery, contributing to the smooth operation of one of the world’s most recognised sporting events. Job Summary: As part of the Accommodation & Team Services function, you will provide administrative, organisational and project coordination support across accommodation planning and team services operations. You will help track key milestones, maintain planning documentation and support cross-functional coordination to ensure operational readiness for Games Time. Working closely with colleagues across Games Services and other Functional Areas, you will support the preparation of plans, reports and operational documentation while ensuring accurate records and clear communication across the team. Your responsibilities will include maintaining planning trackers, coordinating meetings, supporting accommodation allocation processes and assisting with preparation for readiness reviews, operational testing and Games-time delivery. You will also support workforce planning, delegation communications and documentation relating to accommodation operations and Games Services Centre activities. During the Games, you may provide on-site support within accommodation zones to help ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for athletes and team officials. Flexibility will be essential in the lead-up to and during Games Time, with occasional evening and weekend work required as part of the team’s operational delivery. Key Skills and Experience: We’re looking for a highly organised individual who enjoys coordinating activity, supporting operational teams and keeping complex projects on track. You will have experience providing administrative or project coordination support in a fast-paced environment, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Experience maintaining trackers, logs or planning documentation will be important, along with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. You’ll bring confident written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to coordinate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is essential for managing documentation, reports and planning tools. Experience supporting major events, accommodation services or operational teams would be advantageous, as would familiarity with project management tools or reporting frameworks. Experience handling confidential or sensitive information is also desirable. Above all, you’ll be proactive, collaborative and motivated to contribute to delivering a world-class sporting event.
