Receives and interprets instructions or briefs from journalists and editors regarding the editing of video material. Edits raw video footage to create engaging and informative news segments, interviews, and short features. Cuts and assembles recorded footage, applies transitions, and ensures smooth sequencing and continuity. Adds subtitles, voiceovers, captions, sound effects, graphics, and music as required. Applies editorial judgement to ensure content complies with journalistic, legal, and ethical standards. Works closely with news and production teams to meet daily deadlines. Organises and maintains video file archives for future use.
