Youll be a key figure in the practice contributing to strategic direction and positioning yourself for senior leadership roles.Client Portfolio Leadership:, • Full ownership of corporate tax client portfolios acting as trusted senior advisor and primary relationship manager, • Managingcomplex corporation tax complianceand advisory work for high-quality clients, • Leadingsophisticated tax planning projectsincluding group restructuring mergers & acquisitions tax advice capital allowances optimisation R&D tax credits and international tax structures, • ManagingHMRC enquiries disputes and negotiationswith full technical authority, • Identifying and implementingproactive tax planning strategiesto deliver value and strengthen client relationships, • Buildingstrategic client relationshipsas a key practice representative and technical expert, • Ensuringexceptional client serviceand retention across your portfolioTeam Leadership & Development:, • Managing and developing a teamof assistant managers seniors and junior staff (typically 4-6 team members), • Providingtechnical leadership coaching and mentoringto build team capability, • Reviewing and approving complex workto ensure technical excellence and quality standards, • Managingteam capacity workflow and resource allocationeffectively, • Contributing torecruitment onboarding and retentionof tax talent, • Creating ahigh-performing team culturefocused on excellence development and collaboration, • Conductingperformance reviews and development planningfor team membersBusiness Development & Practice Growth:, • Driving new client acquisitionthrough networking proposals pitches and market positioning, • Identifying and winningcross-selling opportunitieswithin existing client relationships and leader, • Buildingreferral relationships with other professional advisors, • CTA qualifiedwith strong technical credentials and up-to-date knowledge, • Minimum 6-8 years experiencein corporate tax within a UK accountancy practice, • Proven management experiencewith track record of successfully leading and developing teams, • Substantial experience managing corporate tax client portfoliosindependently with full responsibility, • Demonstrated business development successwith ability to win new clients and grow relationships, • Strong technical expertisein complex corporate tax matters including group structures M&A tax capital allowances R&D tax credits and international tax, • Experience with sophisticated tax planningfor owner-managed businesses and corporate groups, • Deep understanding of HMRC procedures enquiries disputes and negotiation strategies, • Proficiency with tax software(CCH Alphatax or similar platforms), • Strong analytical and problem-solving skillswith ability to identify planning opportunities, • Excellent technical accuracyand attention to detail, • Excellent leadership and people management skillswith ability to motivate and develop teams, • Strong communication and presentation skills(written and verbal) for client interaction and business development, • Proven business development capabilitywith track record of winning new
