Graduate Development at GHD GHD’s Graduate Program is aimed at developing our future leaders and technical specialists. During our two-year global graduate development programme our Graduate Engineers will work with our Engineering teams developing skills across a wide variety of projects in the Water, Energy, Industrial, Property and Buildings sectors both in the UK and overseas. Your contribution will make a positive lasting benefit to the environment and our communities. Whilst learning about our business, our values, your team, and most importantly, yourself you will develop your decision-making, communication, technical and leadership skills. We offer mentoring and a variety of development activities, providing on the job experience and exposure to a diverse range of projects, as well as support towards gaining chartered status within your Engineering field. Based in our Leeds or Newcastle Office. You will get involved in a portfolio of different projects and apply your newly acquired skills in a range of environments. Your role will develop as your knowledge of our business increases, but initially you will be involved in : Responsibilities • Consulting Project Content Development: Develop and write materials that are highly visible—such as slide decks for standardized presentations to senior management, or sections of client reports—for review by more senior colleagues., • Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently., • Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them., • Stakeholder Engagement: Assist with stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials to promote stakeholder understanding and commitment., • Document Management: Create a company-wide document management system and ensure compliance with it., • Operations Management: Provide operational support services and sometimes act as first-line supervisor of a transactional operations area. Involves using existing systems and protocols., • Work Scheduling and Allocation: Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines., • Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
