Job Description What you'll do… With the support of the Regional Director of Revenue, you will take ownership for the revenue strategies of your assigned properties. You will develop and implement strategic commercial plans, together with the General Manager & Director of Sales, to drive and grow revenue across all segments, constantly monitoring results and adjusting strategies and activities to make sure objectives and targets are being met. Effectively incorporate the revenue management philosophy of exceeding our fair share from three key perspectives, Mind Share, Market Share, Channel Share, in all aspects of revenue management, sales, marketing, and operations. Chair the weekly Revenue Meeting for your assigned property(ies) to collaborate on revenue management, sales, and marketing strategy with the hotel and support teams. Ensure to understand the impact of decisions on operations and profitability. Support additional hotels within your assigned region with revenue/sales/marketing processes, systems management, pricing, strategy, and reporting. Regularly collaborate with General Manager and Sales, Brand and Digital teams on high level strategy decisions across market segments and distribution channels. Ensure that our current systems and processes meet group requirements and are adjusted appropriately to support the business. Responsible for weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc data analysis and reporting. Identify and report on actions taken with regards to important trends (i.e. pace, group pace, booking window, booking channel, etc.). Responsible for achieving room revenue goals (budget, RevPAR Index etc.) with a focus on profitability. Prepare annual hotel revenue budget and maintain ongoing results analysis. Prepare monthly forecasts with a daily breakdown of occupancy/rate and market segment mix along with ongoing results analysis. Monitor competitors’ products and revenue management practices. Also monitor new hotel development and local market demand generators. Maintain strong relationships with third-party partners including OTA market managers. Oversee channel management including rate loading and inventory management. Responsible for the continued usage and maintenance of the Revenue Management System. Responsible for forecast validation and daily interaction with system and the decisions produced, configuration and maintenance tasks related to the system. Qualifications What we're looking for... You must be technically skilled with a strong understanding of systems and hotel operations. Opera Cloud or V5, IDeaS G3 RMS, and Travelclick CRS experience is preferred. Previous experience as a Revenue Manager in a hotel or cluster environment is required. London experience is preferred. You take ownership, solve problems, and make effective decisions. You are a quick learner, have a growth mindset and are up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once. About Rival: Backed by top VCs and angels, Rival is building a unique 3D content-sharing platform and a first-of-its-kind foundational AI model that converts any 2D video into an immersive 3D experience. Currently a team of 13, Rival has brought together talents from Google, Meta, Amazon, BCG, Morgan Stanley, etc. Project Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated PhD intern to join our team and contribute to an exciting project focused on developing a novel, end-to-end system for converting standard 2D videos into compelling 3D (stereoscopic or depth-based) formats using advanced AI techniques. The goal is to research, design, and implement deep learning models capable of understanding scene geometry, motion, and temporal consistency directly from monocular video input to generate high-quality 3D output automatically. This research has the potential to revolutionize content creation and consumption for VR/AR and 3D displays. Your Responsibilities: Conduct literature reviews on state-of-the-art methods in monocular depth estimation, novel view synthesis, video understanding, and 2D-to-3D conversion. Design, implement, and experiment with deep learning architectures (e.g., Transformers, CNNs, GANs, Diffusion Models) for the 2D-to-3D conversion task. Focus on key challenges such as temporal consistency, handling complex motion, maintaining geometric accuracy, and computational efficiency. Process and manage large-scale video datasets for training and evaluation. Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to integrate findings into a prototype system. Analyze results, document findings, and present progress regularly. Contribute to potential publications or patent applications based on research outcomes. Required Qualifications: Currently enrolled in / just finished a PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Research focus in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, or Graphics. Solid theoretical understanding and practical experience in deep learning and computer vision fundamentals. Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow). Experience working with image and/or video data. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Track record of relevant publications in top-tier CV/ML conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, SIGGRAPH). Experience specifically with monocular depth estimation, stereoscopic vision, view synthesis, video generation, or 3D reconstruction. Familiarity with video processing tools (e.g., OpenCV, FFmpeg). Experience with large-scale model training and data pipelines. Contributions to relevant open-source projects.
