    We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team at Care Oasis, we are a new 4 bedded therapeutic care home in the heart of Hertfordshire, Watford specialising in supporting Children with EBD AND LD. In this rewarding role, you will provide high quality, child centred care and confidently lead shifts, helping to create a safe, nurturing and trauma-informed environment where children can thrive. Working closely with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager, you will ensure that each child's views, wishes and feelings are heard, their individual plans are delivered effectively, and their development, confidence, independence and social skills are actively supported. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young people's lives while being part of a supportive and ambitious team within a home regulated by Ofsted and committed to delivering outstanding care. Skills and Experience • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is highly desirable and will be given priority during the shortlisting process. Candidates who do not yet hold the qualification but have relevant residential childcare experience and are willing to work towards the qualification may also be considered., • Experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting., • Experience leading shifts, supporting colleagues and promoting positive outcomes for children., • Strong safeguarding knowledge and the ability to manage challenging situations professionally., • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills., • Ability to remain calm, resilient and solution-focused under pressure., • Strong record keeping and IT skills., • A child centred, compassionate and proactive approach to care., • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and relationship-based care., • Full UK driving licence preferred.

    Roaming Roast is looking for someone to run our Borehamwood coffee truck at weekends. Your main responsibilities will be: -Driving the tuktuk to its location from our storage facility -Lead barista throughout the day (you will be supported by another barista) -Ensuring standards of quality and hygiene are upheld Hours: 7.30-4pm Saturday and Sunday There will always be additional hours available during the week should you wish to take them but this is not required. You must have held a full driving licence for 2 years and be over 25 years of age for insurance purposes. We are a small chain of specialty coffee trucks operating in London and Hertfordshire. Our ideal candidate is someone who has multiple years of experience as a barista and someone who is able to demonstrate their ability think and act independently. As a small business, you'll wear many hats other than just barista. As we're an outdoor coffee truck, someone who enjoys being out in all weathers essential and being a practical problem solver is highly desirable.
