It's a team for people who are thoughtful, practical, and energized by solving hard problems in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment.What you'll doAs the Senior Manager, Obligations Management, you will manage and continue to develop the central governance infrastructure used to identify, catalog, and track regulatory and financial partner requirements across Airwallex’s global footprint.As part of a global central team, you will own the design, development, and day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of the global obligations register, mapping statutory, regulatory, and financial partner requirements to internal compliance controls and accountable owners. You will also manage the institutional RFI knowledge base and central global audit register, helping ensure traceability of control performance and disciplined tracking of issues through verified closure.You will work closely with Regulatory Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit, Second-Line Risk, and other cross-functional stakeholders to translate legal and regulatory requirements into a structured, data-driven, and audit-ready compliance inventory. This role is well suited to a practical operator who can bring structure to complex information, improve processes, and drive consistent execution across a distributed global organization.This role has a global mandate and can be based in the US or EMEA.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and continuously improve the central Global Obligations Register, cataloging international regulatory rules, statutory requirements, and Tier-1 financial partner obligations alongside their respective compliance controlsPartner with Risk and Compliance stakeholders to ensure mapped controls and reporting obligations are structured for effective independent monitoring, validation, and testingManage and evolve the centralized global RFI knowledge base, synthesizing input from Regulatory Compliance teams and curating consistent, well-supported evidence portfolios for banking partners and regulatory bodiesMaintain the global central audit register, tracking internal audit findings, external examination gaps, and material regulatory issues, and driving timely accountability for remediation and closurePartner with Regulatory Legal teams to incorporate legal interpretations and horizon-scanning insights, keeping the obligations registry current and reducing the risk of compliance gaps or control driftEstablish and improve operating procedures, data standards, governance routines, and reporting for obligations management, RFI responses, and audit issue trackingIdentify opportunities to replace manual trackers and spreadsheet dependencies with scalable GRC tooling, workflow automation, and compliance dashboards; support implementation and adoption with relevant stakeholdersCoordinate and influence regional and cross-functional contributors to maintain consistent central standards while reflecting local regulatory requirementsProduce clear management reporting and concise analysis on obligations coverage, control mapping, RFI readiness, audit issues, remediation progress, and emerging risksWho you areWe're looking for people who meet the minimum requirements for this role.
