Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee end-to-end payroll operations across multiple entities, stepping in to support the team as required. Ensure full legislative compliance, accurate statutory reporting, and timely HMRC submissions. Drive process optimisation, identifying and implementing more efficient and scalable payroll workflows. Manage and develop a small, capable team of Payroll Administrators, ensuring high performance and quality delivery. Act as a trusted partner to Senior Leadership, HR, Finance, and Operations, providing clear insights and supporting business-critical initiatives. Continuously enhance processes through the introduction of new payroll efficiencies. Support system upgrades, integrations, acquisitions, TUPE transfers, and wider organisational change programmes. About You Proven Payroll Manager experience running complex, multi-entity payrolls within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels and lead payroll transformation. A people-oriented leader who can mentor, motivate, and develop a small team. Strong systems capability, ideally with experience across multiple payroll platforms Exposure to M&A processes, integrations, and TUPE transfers (desirable).
