Job Title: Teaching Assistant (UKS2 – Year 5 & 6) Location: Greenwich, London Pay Range: £95 – £117.60 per day Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (until May half-term initially) ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Greenwich seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their Year 5 and 6 team for an immediate start. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support pupils in Upper Key Stage 2, with a strong focus on SATs preparation in a supportive and high-achieving environment. The school is known for its collaborative staff team and strong focus on pupil outcomes, creating an environment where support staff can make a real impact during this crucial stage of learning. This Teaching Assistant role in Greenwich would suit experienced TAs with strong UKS2 experience who are confident supporting pupils in Reading, Writing and Maths, particularly in the lead-up to SATs. Key Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant: Provide targeted support to Year 5 and 6 pupils in preparation for SATs. Support small groups and individuals in Reading, Writing and Maths. Assist the class teacher in delivering focused intervention sessions. Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and engagement. Support pupils’ confidence and readiness for assessments. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have experience working within Upper Key Stage 2 (essential). Demonstrate strong understanding of SATs preparation and expectations. Be confident supporting core subjects: Reading, Writing and Maths. Be able to “hit the ground running” and adapt quickly to the classroom environment. Maintain high expectations for pupil progress and behaviour.
