Responsibilities • Take full responsibility for the delivery of MEP packages across multiple office-to-hotel conversion projects, ensuring systems (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) are installed in line with design, programme, and budget requirements., • Lead coordination between design teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within the overall project., • Oversee MEP contractors and supply chain partners, ensuring performance, quality, and compliance with project objectives., • Act as the primary point of contact for all MEP-related site activities, providing regular updates to senior project stakeholders and clients., • Work closely with the Design Manager to ensure design intent is maintained throughout delivery and any site issues are resolved efficiently., • Manage MEP construction programmes, monitoring progress and proactively mitigating risks to ensure timely project completion., • Oversee installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations., • Review and manage MEP-related RFIs, technical submissions, and shop drawings, ensuring timely approvals and alignment with project requirements., • Ensure all MEP works comply with local building regulations, health and safety standards, and hospitality-specific operational requirements., • Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are fully operational and handed over to required standards., • Manage the procurement process for MEP packages, including reviewing tenders and supporting contractor and supplier selection., • Monitor and control MEP budgets, identifying risks and opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality and performance., • Ensure quality assurance and quality control processes are implemented throughout installation and commissioning phases., • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change management records, and as-built information., • Consistent high performance and accountability, • Strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, • Team-oriented mindset with leadership capability on-site, • High level of integrity and professional commitment, • Adherence to engineering and ethical standards, • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in MEP project management, site management, or building services delivery roles within main contractors or developers, • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering (or related field), • Proven experience delivering MEP packages, ideally within hospitality, commercial conversions, or residential projects, • Strong understanding of MEP installation, commissioning, and handover processes, • Knowledge of UK building regulations, health & safety standards, and industry best practices, • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams on-site, • Ability to manage multiple projects or phases simultaneously while maintaining quality and programme targets, • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

My client, a well established law firm in the City (Liverpool Street), are seeking a Facilities Manager to head up their Facilities team on a 12 month FTC This role is to oversee the effective daily operation of the Facilities and Reprographics functions, ensuring the delivery of a high standard of service across the company, and is responsible for managing the Facilities Supervisor, Facilities Assistants and Post/Scanning Assistants, providing strong leadership and guidance. The role also involves supporting the Head of FM, maintaining a strong working knowledge of facilities procedures, and ensuring compliance with H&S requirements. Occasional periodic travel to the firm’s UK offices will also be needed. The ideal must have a minimum of five years’ experience in an FM role gained within legal (advantageous) or professional services.
