Senior Associate – Intellectual Property (London) Confidential Search – Leading UK Law Firm I’m supporting a national firm that is looking to appoint an experienced IP Senior Associate to join its growing team in London. This is a standout role for a commercially minded IP litigator who enjoys high-quality, varied work and wants to be part of a lively, down-to-earth practice. The Opportunity You’ll be joining a well-established IP group, working directly with two highly regarded partners and a strong associate team across London and Manchester. The work is first-class, with a consistent flow of disputes coming from clients in sectors such as sport, fashion, media, retail, and consumer brands. The role suits someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys client interaction, problem-solving, and being part of a team where ideas are welcomed and impact is encouraged. Key Responsibilities • Running and advising on contentious IP matters including:, • Trade marks & passing off, • Copyright, • Design rights, • Patent-related disputes, • Taking ownership of files within a busy, varied workload, • Supervising and mentoring junior colleagues, • Supporting BD initiatives, networking and profile-raising, • Working collaboratively with a friendly, inclusive team What You’ll Need • At least 5 years’ experience specialising in IP disputes, • Strong technical knowledge across trade marks, designs, copyright and/or patents, • Clear, confident communication and a commercial, practical approach, • An interest in BD and brand-building (existing contacts/following is a bonus), • A team-orientated attitude and ability to support junior lawyers, • Excellent written English and drafting skills, • Solid academics (IP postgraduate qualifications ideal but not essential) Why This Role?
