HR Advisor (People & Culture) ?? Chester | ? 37.5 hours per week | ?? Reports to: Head of People & Culture | ?? Permanent We're looking for an HR Advisor (People & Culture) to join a growing business in Chester on a permanent basis. This is a varied and hands-on generalist role where you'll provide advice and support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, reward & recognition, and policy compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong HR generalist background, with the ability to adapt and remain flexible in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Key Responsibilities Respond promptly to manager and employee HR queries in line with current legislation Maintain and update employee electronic records, intranet, and benefits information Coordinate recruitment across the business: drafting job requirements, posting adverts, liaising with agencies, managing CVs, arranging interviews, and supporting hiring managers Support onboarding and induction for new hires Advise line managers on employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary, capability, performance, and absence management Support the performance review process, providing guidance on objective setting and monitoring outcomes Personal Attributes Target-oriented and motivated by achieving goals High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships Adaptable and quick to learn new systems, processes, and information Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach Experience Previous experience in a generalist HR role within a fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR procedures Understanding of grievance and disciplinary processes Skills & Knowledge Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems/social media Ability to organise, prioritise, and manage a varied workload.
