CNC machine operator Scope of Role The Machine Operative is responsible for having an understanding of machinery functions and set up along with a knowledge of the software of the machine. As their Electronic Systems Officer you will be responsible for the operational running of systems such as fire detection, access security control, CCTV, security intruder systems and programmable lighting systems; this for both routine and reactive maintenance as well as lifecycle upgrades and replacements. As Electronics Systems Officer you will be joining a small flexible team within Estates department and will be required to work with colleagues, from across the Museum, as well as contractors over all Estate locations. The role involves working both front and back of house to ensure that the visitor experience is always maximised with all systems fully operational. You will be responsible for two sites in Edinburgh, plus additional sites in East Kilbride, and Berwick.
