The Technical Operator will be accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, pieces of equipment and operational decisions at line level to achieve targets and coordinate resources as required. What are we looking for? Minimum 1 Year Manufacturing Experience (Essential): Proven hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment is required Mechanical Training or Background (Essential): Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex mechanical systems Machinery Disassembly & Reassembly: Skilled in dismantling machinery to analyze components and functionality, and reassembling equipment to ensure optimal performance. Microsoft Outlook & Excel Proficiency: Competent in using Microsoft Outlook and Excel for communication, reporting, and data analysis. Team Leadership/Coordination (Desirable): Experience in leading or coordinating small teams of associates is highly valued. What would be your key responsibilities? Lead first-line maintenance for multiple production machines, making operational decisions to meet production targets. Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns using appropriate tools and methods to identify root causes. Take ownership of the performance and reliability of several machines, processes, or equipment. Coordinate, coach and support a small team of operators and temporary associates to ensure line targets are consistently achieved. The purpose of a Mechanical Shift Technician is to maintain conditions of operating equipment by repair or replacement of failed components, troubleshooting and repairing routine mechanical problems on assigned equipment, conduct preventative maintenance on various manufacturing and packaging equipment, document WO's/PM's using computerised maintenance management system, support Operations in equipment setup and adjustments to centerline operational output of assigned equipment, participate on MSE teams, train operators in AM activities, and conduct Breakdown Analysis What are we looking for? • Experience: Previous manufacturing experience is essential., • Education: Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, or certifications such as CMfgE, CMRT, or HVAC Certification., • Practical Experience: Apprenticeships, internships, or co-op programs in mechanical trades., • Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, machining, and mechanical systems., • Hands-On Approach: A self-driven attitude with the ability to prioritize workloads effectively., • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in teams, sharing insights and collaborating on improvements. About the Role We're looking for a proactive and reliable Caretaker to join our team at Royal William Yard, working specifically within the residential areas of the site. This is a key role supporting the Building Manager in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of the communal spaces, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents. Where will I be working?
