Overview Covering our 3 sector approach, covering the Energy, Civil Engineering and Residential Sectors, AKELA Construction now has vacancies for Sub Agents to compliment our dynamic delivery teams. Key Responsibilities • Assist with the construction strategy and input into the construction programme, • Represent AKELA at site and client meetings and contribute accordingly, • Preparation of pre-commencement documentation such as Construction Phase Plan, Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans,, • Carry out take offs and prepare procurement and design deliverable schedules., • Liaise with the Project Manager and Foreman to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works to carry out the activities to the required standards, programme and budget., • The Sub Agent will also need to manage the site engineering team and be responsible for the performance and development of Site and Section Engineers., • Assisting with the co-ordination of construction operations, ensuring they conform to the contract requirements and the required level of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) is a key part of this role., • This position will assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting, site measurement, material reconciliations and cost control. Experience & Requirements • HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent., • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills., • Previous experience in highways, civils and drainage work is essential., • Good team skills., • Must hold a full UK driver’s license, • SMSTS, • Valid CSCS card, • First Aid, TWC / TWC, NRSWA are desirable but not essential Location Predominantly Central Belt, Scotland with the opportunity to work throughout Scotland.
