Job Title: Business Development Manager – Fire & Security Department: Sales / Business Development Reports To: Sales Director / Managing Director Location: St Albans Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: Competitive basic salary, commission and company benefits Job Purpose We are seeking a driven, commercially minded and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across our fire and security division. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing long-term customer relationships and increasing revenue across a range of fire protection, life safety and electronic security solutions. This role will focus on generating new sales opportunities, managing the full sales cycle and developing strategic relationships with end users, facilities management companies, consultants, main contractors, property managers and other key decision-makers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the fire and security industry, a strong understanding of the market and the ability to identify customer requirements and deliver commercially successful solutions. Key Responsibilities 1. New Business Development Identify, target and secure new business opportunities across the fire and security market. Develop and implement a structured sales and business development strategy to achieve agreed revenue and profit targets. Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are regularly reviewed and progressed. Identify opportunities within commercial, industrial, residential, public sector and other relevant markets. Develop relationships with key decision-makers, including facilities managers, estates managers, building owners, managing agents, consultants and contractors. 2. Sales of Fire & Security Solutions Promote and sell a range of fire and security services, which may include: Fire alarm systems and maintenance. Emergency lighting and life safety systems. Intruder alarm systems. CCTV and video surveillance. Access control and door entry systems. Fire extinguishers and associated fire protection services. Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance contracts. System upgrades, remedial works, installations and compliance-related services. Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional products and services to new and existing customers. Understand customer requirements and work with technical and operational teams to develop suitable solutions. 3. Account Management and Client Relationships Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers. Develop key accounts to maximise revenue, retention and customer lifetime value. Conduct client meetings, site visits and presentations to understand requirements and identify opportunities. Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure a high level of service and customer satisfaction. 4. Tendering and Commercial Management Prepare and submit competitive quotations, proposals and tender submissions. Negotiate pricing, contract terms and service agreements within agreed commercial parameters. Monitor competitor activity, market trends and pricing to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage. Ensure all sales opportunities are assessed for profitability, delivery capability and commercial risk. 5. Sales Pipeline and Reporting Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, quotations and customer interactions within the company CRM system. Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports and updates to senior management. Monitor performance against agreed KPIs, revenue targets and gross profit objectives. Develop and maintain a forward-looking pipeline of opportunities to support sustainable business growth

Reporting into the Retrofit Technical Manager, you will work on a hybrid basis and deliver retrofit coordination for residential projects to ensure compliance with PAS2035 standards and guidelines across retrofit assessments, coordination and design. • Deliver retrofit coordination on live projects, ensuring PAS 2035 compliance framework requirements are met., • Conduct retrofit assessments, noting property suitability, areas for improvement and recommending energy efficiency measures, including pre- and post-retrofit evaluations., • Collaborate with project managers, technical teams and contractors to ensure successful integration of retrofit objectives and sustainability best practices., • Support the team in carrying out quality assurance (QA) on retrofit assessments (RA), retrofit coordination (RC) and retrofit design (RC)., • Identify and rectify problems in retrofit projects; join project reviews and technical meetings to discuss risk, improvements and enhancement of strategies., • Provide support to procurement teams., • Experience in a similar role with strong knowledge of PAS2035, industry standards and building regulations., • Retrofit Assessor Qualification., • Full Driving Licence and ability to regularly travel to client sites., • Ability to analyse technical data, generate compliance reports and ensure audit preparedness., • Good stakeholder management skills and ability to work in a collaborative working environment.
