Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Orchard Classroom (SEND/Enhanced Provision) Start Date: Immediate - until at least the end of the academic year Hours: 8:15am - 4:15pm, Monday to Friday About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 3+) to join our teaching team in the Orchard Classroom, our SEND enhanced provision setting. This small class is made up of up to 9 pupils, each with unique needs, who are not yet ready to access mainstream classroom provision. You will play a key role in supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing, ensuring every child is given the opportunity to thrive. SEN Teaching Assistant – Team Teach Trained (Essential) Contract Type: Full-time Temporary Work Start Date: 18/03/2026 Location: Enfield, London, UK Salary: £100 – £120 per day Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. About the Role A specialist secondary setting in Enfield is seeking a confident, resilient and Team Teach trained SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Team Teach is a core part of practice at this school and is an essential requirement for the role. Candidates must already hold a valid Team Teach qualification or be willing and able to undertake training immediately upon appointment. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people who require additional guidance to engage positively with learning. The school provides a therapeutic, relationship-focused environment where behaviour is understood as communication. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support pupils both in the classroom and during less structured parts of the school day, helping them build emotional regulation, resilience and confidence. Team Teach Expectation (Essential) Team Teach is a core part of behaviour support at this school. The successful candidate must: • Hold a valid Team Teach qualification or be willing to undertake training immediately upon appointment • Use Team Teach de-escalation strategies consistently to support pupils safely • Apply safe and proportionate physical intervention only when necessary, in line with individual risk assessments and school policy • Demonstrate physical resilience and confidence in managing challenging behaviour safely • Show the ability to anticipate behavioural triggers and intervene early to prevent escalation Candidates must be comfortable working in an environment where Team Teach strategies are regularly used as part of behaviour support and safeguarding procedures.
