Recruitment Manager We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Manager to lead and evolve our in‑house recruitment function. This is a hands‑on, player‑manager role where you will balance personal delivery of critical hires with leading, developing, and enabling a small recruitment team aligned to specific business units. You will own the end‑to‑end recruitment strategy and execution, partnering closely with senior leaders and hiring managers to ensure we attract, assess, and hire high‑quality talent at pace. Alongside delivery, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives to raise the standard, consistency, and effectiveness of our hiring processes. This role will play a critical part in improving the quality of our recruitment data and analysis and using those insights to shape future strategy. Key responsibilities Leadership & Management: • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2–3 Recruiters aligned to defined business areas, plus a Recruitment Operations Specialist, • Set clear expectations, performance standards, and development plans for the recruitment team, • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, hiring plans, and realistic timelines, • Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture focused on quality, speed, and candidate experience. Hands-on Delivery: • Act as a player‑manager, personally managing up to 5 live roles at any one time, typically focused on priority roles, specialist skillsets, or specific seniority levels, • Personally manage end‑to‑end recruitment for a portfolio of roles, including briefing, sourcing, interviewing, stakeholder management, offer management, and closing, • Ensure a consistently excellent candidate experience across all stages of the hiring process, • Use data and insight to proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities within hiring pipelines Strategic Project Delivery: Own and deliver strategic initiatives to continuously improve recruitment capability and outcomes, including: • Improving interview quality and assessment rigor, • Designing and implementing structured interview frameworks, • Introducing and embedding scorecards and competency‑based assessments, • Training and upskilling hiring managers on effective interviewing and decision‑making, • Evolve recruitment processes to ensure fairness, consistency, and scalability, • Partner with People & Talent leadership on workforce planning and future hiring needs Stakeholder Management: • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and hiring managers on hiring strategy, market insight, and best practice, • Provide clear, data‑driven updates on hiring progress, risks, and outcomes, • Balance commercial priorities with long‑term talent and capability building, • Support recruitment team operating in partnership with their own stakeholders Operations & Continuous Improvement: • Work closely with the Recruitment Operations Specialist to set standards and ensure smooth delivery of recruitment operations, • Ensure recruitment data, reporting, and tooling support informed decision‑making, • Continuously review and refine processes to improve efficiency, quality of hire, and time‑to‑hire, • Create data driven reporting for board packs on a monthly basis Required Experience: General & Qualifications • Proven experience in a player/manager role, setting direction and priorities for multiple recruiters while providing an example of excellent delivery, • Demonstrated track record delivering critical or senior level roles, • Prior success in revamping and delivering improved processes and metrics for talent assessment, • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy, • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, • Comfortable driving change and iterations on ways of working
