Business Development and Operations Manager\nWe are looking for a Business Development Manager with great people management skills who is eager for an exciting opportunity to advance your career within an established social enterprise?\nYou will oversee the charity’s trading division, drive enterprise business development and sales growth, manage the distribution and sales of white goods and beds and ensure strategic alignment.\nPosition: Business Development and Operations Manager\nLocation: Leicester/hybrid and site based\nHours: Full-time (37 hours per week)\nSalary: £35,000\nContract: Permanent\nBenefits: Competitive salary, 32 days’ annual leave (pro rata for part time roles) including Bank Holidays, pension scheme\nClosing Date: 28th May 2026\nInterview Date: W/C 8th June 2026\nThe Role\nWe are looking for a Business Development and Operations Manager to support the strategic aims of the charity and the Chief Executive Officer.\nYou will partner and collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement trading arm strategies, business development, and policies to ensure alignment of trading operations with the charity's mission, vision, and values.\nAbout You\nWe are looking for someone with proven experience in business development and experience of managing operations.\nYou will have:\n Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.\n A proven ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.\n Experience of managing budgets, targets and financial reporting.\n A strong team working ethic, able to motivate and inspire staff, encouraging knowledge sharing and peer support.\n Commercial awareness and financial literacy to manage budgets, targets and financial reporting.\n An excellent standard of IT including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent)\n The ability to network and liaise effectively with individuals and agencies in the private, public and voluntary sectors, and governmental departments.\n The ability to achieve targets and work to tight deadlines.\n * The ability to work flexibly.\nWe are looking for someone with a commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion within the workplace and a full driving license, access to own transport and willingness to travel regionally.\nIf you are a strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans, then apply today!\nAbout the Organisation\nThe charity believes that everyone deserves a decent standard of living, with a right to adequate food, shelter and the means to keep warm, clean and rested – no matter what difficulty they may be facing.
