Job Description Job Title: Staff Accountant Department: Finance & Accounting Reports To: Controller / VP Finance Location: Wayne, PA Company: Signum Surgical USA, Inc. Position Summary: We are seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant to join our growing early commercial–stage medical device company. This position is critical in supporting daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and process development as the company scales. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and excited to contribute in a fast-paced environment where systems and processes are evolving. Key Responsibilities: • Perform daily accounting activities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations., • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements., • Maintain and reconcile cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities., • Assist with inventory tracking, cost of goods sold (COGS), and manufacturing cost accounting., • Support revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 for distributor and direct sales agreements., • Help implement scalable accounting processes and systems as the company grows., • Coordinate with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure accurate financial reporting., • Assist with audit preparation, tax support, and investor reporting requests., • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities., • Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and any relevant medical device regulatory documentation requirements. Qualifications: Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required., • 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in medical device, biotech, or manufacturing environments., • Experience in a startup or early commercial-stage company preferred., • Working knowledge of GAAP and exposure to cost accounting and inventory management., • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar)., • CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required.
