PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Heartbeat of Our Service Team The Service Porter is an essential part of our service department, ensuring daily operations run seamlessly and efficiently. This dynamic role bridges the gap between customers and technicians, helping create a smooth, stress-free experience from start to finish. Responsibilities include keeping the service area clean and organized, carefully managing customer vehicles, and fostering a warm, professional atmosphere that reflects our commitment to excellence. As a Service Porter, youll gain firsthand experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while building the skills that set the foundation for future advancement. With ongoing training and real-world exposure, youll have the opportunity to grow into positions such as Service Advisor, Lube Technician, or Dry Technician. Along the way, youll sharpen your technical expertise, elevate your customer service abilities, and develop a deeper understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Keep the service lane clean and clear of vehicles and debris, • Maintain service area parking lot, • Park vehicles in assigned area (see diagram), • Greet customers in the service lane/area if advisors are busy, • Assist the service advisors as needed, • Check that all vehicles are locked at end of business day, • Deliver vehicles to body shops, • Deliver vehicles to other facilities for campaigns to be performed, • Assist courtesy driver by dropping off and picking up guests, • Test drive vehicles when needed, • Assure that seat covers and floor mats are in all vehicles, • Report any damages found on any and all vehicles, • Sweep and mop service lane/parts department lobby, • Wipe down parts and service dept doors, handles, counters, credit card machines and windows at least twice daily and as needed QUALIFICATIONS: • Valid Florida driver license, • Ability to read/comprehend instructions and information, • Have strong communication skills, • Be able to follow directions, • Professional appearance, • Use good judgment, • Multitasking BENEFITS: • Medical, Dental and Vision for Full Time employees working 30 hours or more, • 401K after 1 year of employment, • Longevity Fund/Bonus, • 1 week of vacation after 1 year of employment and 2 weeks after 2 years, • Five paid holidays (New Years Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day), • GM training for all, • Closed Sundays WORKING CONDITIONS: This role involves a range of physical activities essential to supporting daily operations. Team members are frequently required to stand, walk, reach, and use their hands for handling, feeling, or fine motor tasks. Duties may also include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting, climbing, and maintaining balance. The ability to taste or smell may occasionally be necessary depending on specific tasks. Candidates must be capable of lifting items in accordance with job responsibilities and safety guidelines. Strong visual acuity is essentialincluding close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work takes place in both indoor and outdoor environments, requiring adaptability to varying conditions throughout the day.
