The Licensed Professional Counselor(LPC)/Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW) will have the responsibility of providing counseling (talk therapy) for Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center (MWCHC) patients with mild to moderate mental health conditions, including trauma informed care (i.e PTSD, sexual assault), and/or substance use disorders. Additionally, responsible for implementing community educational programs, assessing problems and determining appropriate types and methods of treatment, and implementing intervention methodologies for mental health and substance abuse. The LPC/LCSW will utilize skills to address other social needs of patients and will utilize area referral sources for needed specialty care, hospitalization, or advance psychiatric assessments and treatments.
