Volt is immediately hiring a Wire Technician in Saint Louis, MO 63136 As a Wire Technician, you will be responsible for: Description: We're adding new people to our manufacturing team in St. Louis! Seeking great hands-on skilled people from an automation or electrical background to join us. Based in our St. Louis location, you will be part of our North America Integration Center Team manufacturing systems that drive our customers’ factories, and the control equipment buildings that house them. AS A WIRE TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL: • Wire, layout, and do any cutouts on inner pans and control panels • Perform wiring inside of control houses or on equipment after being installed on process modules, and install components, process piping, and instrumentation • Cut, strip, and terminate wires per acceptable industry standards • Bend, thread, and install conduit • Cut, ream, bend, and install tubing REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: • Must be able to read and interpret layout drawings and wiring schematics, and read and interpret point-to-point wiring • Must be able to recognize electrical symbols and be familiar with NEC • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and be familiar with basic hand and power tools • Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and withstand noise, heat/cold extremes. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: • Ability to excel in a team environment. • Ability to pass forklift driver test upon request.
