Job Description Job Summary: The Junior estimator reports to the Director of Preconstruction and Estimating and responsible for cost calculations to determine how much it will cost to complete a project or provide buyout for a new scope of work and changes to contracted work. Responsibilities: • Manage bid documents and drawings, • Solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing, • Review drawings and takeoff key quantities, • Maintain subcontractor directory and reference databases, • Prepare requests for information and submit to design team, • Communicate with design team, subcontractors, and internally through meetings, formal correspondence, and telephone., • Assist other staff as needed with change order pricing, subcontractor selection, or other special projects.
