The Accounting department is well-structured and consists of roughly 30 professionals. This Senior Accountant role sits within a sub-team of 8 accountants and is instrumental in ensuring accurate financial operations across a multi-entity environment. Position Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong full-cycle accounting expertise, exposure to larger corporate environments, and the ability to think both tactically and strategically. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership of their work, enjoys solving complex problems, and thrives in a structured yet fast-moving setting. The Senior Accountant will handle month-end close, complex journal entries, fixed assets, prepaid schedules, multi-entity accounting, and financial controls. Beyond core responsibilities, this role offers significant room to contribute to process improvements, operational enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities General & Full-Cycle Accounting • Own full-cycle accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis., • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities., • Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and compliance with GAAP and internal policies., • Prepare and review reconciliations; quickly identify and resolve discrepancies.Prepaid & Fixed Asset Accounting, • Manage prepaid expense schedules and monthly amortization., • Maintain fixed asset ledgers including additions, disposals, reclasses, and depreciation., • Ensure capitalization policies are accurately followed.Payroll Accounting (Preferred but Not Required), • Support payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations., • Assist with payroll accruals and collaborate with payroll team to resolve discrepancies.Allocations & Multi-Entity Support, • Prepare allocations across departments, business units, and legal entities., • Maintain effective methodologies to ensure accurate cost distribution.Financial Controls & Reporting, • Uphold strong internal controls across all accounting processes., • Prepare audit schedules and assist with internal and external audit needs., • Support the Accounting Manager with financial analysis, reporting, and special projects.Collaboration & Process Improvement, • Partner with Operations and other teams to verify financial information., • Assist field teams with expense classification and accounting questions., • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, streamline reporting, and support automation., • Participate in departmental initiatives focused on efficiency and operational excellence.Qualifications Education • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required., • CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.Experience, • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience., • Experience in a larger corporate environment strongly preferred., • Strong full-cycle accounting background including close processes and complex journal entries., • Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred., • Payroll accounting experience is a plus.Technical Skills, • Strong knowledge of GAAP., • Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)., • Experience with large ERP systems; Workday preferred but not required., • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Work Arrangement, • Onsite for the first 90 days for hands-on training and onboarding., • Hybrid schedule thereafter-typically two days onsite per week., • Occasional additional onsite days may be required based on business needs.Why This Opportunity Stands Out, • Join a respected, long-standing organization with a reputation for operational excellence., • Work in a modern corporate environment that includes a gym, café, and collaborative spaces., • Be part of a supportive, well-structured accounting team where your work is valued., • Gain exposure to multi-entity operations and large-scale corporate systems., • Significant career growth potential-Senior Accountants here are regularly trusted with leadership responsibilities, cross-functional projects, and advancement opportunities., • Access to leaders who actively invest in professional development and internal talent mobility.If you are a detail-oriented, analytical Senior Accountant seeking a role with impact, professional growth, and a strong organizational culture, we encourage you to apply.
