Job Description Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Description Under the guidance of the Production Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, or replacement of facility components. The goal is to ensure maximum production and quality while upholding the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. Responsibilities • Demonstrate a commitment to the company's mission and collaborate with the team to achieve common objectives., • Work effectively as part of a cohesive team and engage with other departments as needed., • Take responsibility and accountability for tasks and decisions., • Balance organizational needs with customer needs., • Employ goal-directed thinking in situations without routine solutions., • Analyze facts and thoughts to identify strengths and weaknesses., • Communicate effectively, engaging in two-way communication and responding appropriately., • Pursue personal learning and development, seeking feedback for improvement., • Adapt to changing work demands and treat unexpected circumstances as learning opportunities., • Perform general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, glazier, masonry, and painting tasks., • Repair structures like floors, showers, sinks, walls, roofs, and carpets, and perform minor troubleshooting and repairs of locks and hinges., • Change filters on HVAC units and air compressors., • Service appliances, kitchen, and emergency equipment, and report mechanical malfunctions., • Assist in moving furniture and equipment and setting up cubicle partitions., • Identify projects requiring higher skilled craftspeople and assist in obtaining quotes and arranging for services of outside vendors., • Annotate and update work logs for specific site requirements., • Activate and deactivate building alarms and respond to alarm calls during and after regular work hours., • Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work sites and communicate work-related issues., • Ensure cleanliness of shop and office work areas, including lunchroom, break, and restroom maintenance., • Full-time attendance is required., • Facilities maintenance experience, • Maintenance technician skills, • Preventive maintenance expertise, • Ability to pass internal Forklift test and certification program, • Ability to communicate issues effectively, • Experience with International Standards Organization (ISO) certified environments, • Capability to stand for designated shifts and lift up to 35 lbs. The facility may have some noise and plastic chips, and full-time attendance is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tigard, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
