Job DescriptionJob Title: Registration Coordinator Job Description The Registration Coordinator plays a key role in launching the logistics process by accurately entering orders, registering shipments, and coordinating transportation services. This role focuses on timely and precise data entry, proactive issue resolution, and effective communication with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth and efficient movement of goods. Responsibilities • Begin the logistics process by entering new orders and shipment information into computerized tracking and proprietary operational systems., • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough records in the proprietary database to support seamless logistics operations., • Review databases regularly to identify exceptions and errors, and correct them promptly to ensure data integrity., • Trace shipments with steamship lines, trucking vendors, railroads, and other suppliers, and update shipment status in the operations systems., • Troubleshoot and resolve service exceptions and respond promptly to escalated service requests., • Provide input to team leaders and group management on departmental initiatives and process improvement projects., • Perform routine data entry and general office tasks, including typing, faxing, mail distribution, phone messaging, and other administrative duties as required., • Scan and separate documents within the Document Management System to ensure proper filing and retrieval., • Update schedules, logs, and task lists on a daily basis to keep information current and accessible., • Update all required operating systems, including those used for quality assurance and user acceptance testing., • Collaborate with internal and external clients to support the smooth execution of logistics and transportation services., • Perform all other duties as assigned to support the efficiency and growth of the department.Essential Skills, • High school diploma or equivalent (HSED); some college education preferred., • At least 1 year of experience with increasing responsibilities in a similar or related industry., • Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy, speed, and attention to detail., • Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook., • Experience using email and computerized tracking systems in a professional environment., • Customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external clients., • High degree of problem-solving capability and the ability to handle exceptions and escalated issues., • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain organized records in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Some college coursework or post-secondary education in business, logistics, or a related field is preferred., • Experience in logistics, transportation services, or a related industry is beneficial., • Familiarity with proprietary databases, operations systems, and document management systems., • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives or contributing ideas to enhance departmental efficiency., • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse internal and external stakeholders., • Comfort working with quality assurance and user acceptance testing processes within operational systems., • Interest in continuous learning and professional growth within a global logistics environment.Work Environment This role is based in an office environment and involves frequent use of computers, proprietary databases, document management systems, and standard office equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Reno, NV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
