Job Description Job Title: Sales Trainee Location: Charlotte, NC Reports To: Chief Operations Officer Position Summary JR Cole is a large, independently-owned provider of high end branded packaging. From our three Charlotte, NC facilities, we support a wide variety of national and international clients, helping them deliver some of the most prestigious brands in the world. Across major industries such as pharmaceutical, personal care, beverage, and food, each day JR Cole executes its mission: Delivering brands for its customers. We are looking for a confident and assertive entry-level candidate to expand our sales team. Position Training Schedule The development regimen will begin with 1 to 3 months of training in production areas to gain an understanding of the key manufacturing processes and product lines. This will then be followed by 8 to 12 months of inside sales, helping manage the orders and client relationships of multiple client accounts in various markets. During the inside sales portion the sales trainee will work closely with other experienced sales representatives on day to day account management, proposals, and may also be assigned special projects in market analysis or prospect/lead identification. Development timeline may be shortened for high-potential performers. Key Responsibilities • Learn company products, services, markets, and customer segments, • Assist sales representatives with account management, proposals, and follow-ups on accounts assigned during the inside sales portion of training, • Participate in sales calls, meetings, and customer visits (virtual or in-person), • Conduct market research and prospect identification, • Assist in quotes preparation, presentations, and sales support materials, • Shadow experienced sales staff to understand negotiation and closing strategies, • Meet training milestones and performance benchmarks, • Demonstrate continued progression toward promotion to Sales Representative.
