Job Description POSITION SUMMARY Moderate Income Management Company (MIMC) is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and highly organized Lifestyle Coordinator to enhance the resident experience at two residential communities in Northern New Jersey. The Lifestyle Coordinator plans, coordinates, and implements engaging programs, educational workshops, social events, wellness initiatives, and community-building activities designed to improve residents' quality of life and strengthen community engagement. This independent, client-facing position serves as a key ambassador for the resident experience. The Lifestyle Coordinator builds meaningful relationships with residents, maintains daily direct interaction with clients, and creates a welcoming and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, creative, resourceful, and comfortable working with diverse populations, including seniors, families, and individuals from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Resident Engagement and Programming • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate resident activities, events, and programs that promote social connection, recreation, health, wellness, education, and community involvement., • Develop monthly and annual activity calendars for the assigned properties., • Engage with residents regularly to understand lifestyle preferences, interests, needs, and programming opportunities., • Conduct resident surveys and gather feedback to evaluate existing programs and inform future offerings., • Encourage participation through resident outreach, relationship-building, and clear, consistent communication., • Foster an inclusive environment that supports residents of varying ages, backgrounds, and abilities Event Planning and Coordination • Organize community celebrations, holiday events, educational workshops, health and wellness programs, social activities, recreational opportunities, and resident appreciation events., • Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, room reservations, setup and breakdown, vendors, volunteers, supplies, promotional materials, and follow-up activities., • Schedule and coordinate recreational and leisure activities that align with resident interests and community needs., • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, nonprofit groups, service providers, and local businesses to expand available programming and resources., • Monitor attendance and participation and evaluate program effectiveness. Resident Services Support • Assist residents in identifying and accessing appropriate community resources, social services, educational opportunities, and wellness programs., • Work collaboratively with property management staff to identify resident needs and recommend appropriate resources or programming responses., • Support initiatives that promote resident satisfaction, retention, well-being, and a positive community environment., • Maintain current knowledge of relevant community agencies and assistance programs. Administrative Responsibilities • Maintain accurate records of resident participation, event attendance, program schedules, expenses, and outcomes., • Prepare periodic reports and updates regarding resident engagement activities, program participation, and results., • Manage activity and event expenditures within approved budgets and guidelines., • Maintain clear and consistent communication with residents, property teams, vendors, community partners, and other stakeholders., • Perform work in accordance with company policies, applicable fair housing requirements, and established health and safety practices. Collaboration and Travel • Partner with Property Managers, regional management, and external organizations to coordinate community initiatives., • Work independently to manage program delivery, schedules, logistics, and follow-through across assigned locations., • Participate in staff meetings and contribute ideas to enhance resident services and engagement., • Represent the company professionally at resident programs, community meetings, outreach activities, and external events., • Travel locally and regionally on a weekly basis between assigned Northern New Jersey communities and other program locations, as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience • Associate degree in recreation management, human services, social work, communications, event planning, hospitality, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education., • Minimum of two years of experience in lifestyle programming, resident services, community outreach, event planning, senior services, property management, hospitality, or a related field., • Experience working in affordable housing, multifamily housing, senior housing, or community-based programming preferred., • Experience in customer service, client engagement, or a comparable resident-facing role. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Strong customer service, resident relations, and interpersonal skills., • Ability to establish professional relationships with residents, colleagues, vendors, and community partners., • Ability to organize and manage multiple events, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously., • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and follow through with limited supervision., • Creativity, resourcefulness, and practical problem-solving ability., • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and manage program logistics., • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint., • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between assigned properties and event locations. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to move throughout residential communities, community rooms, offices, and event locations and to remain standing or walking for periods associated with event coordination., • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds for event supplies, displays, and equipment., • Ability to assist with setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, displays, decorations, and event materials., • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication., • Ability to travel regularly between assigned communities and other local or regional locations., • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends when required for resident events and programs Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position, consistent with applicable law.
