Job Description Processes customer payments for vehicles, parts, and service, handling cash/credit/checks, issuing receipts, and balancing the register, while also greeting customers, answering phones, directing inquiries, and performing administrative tasks like filing and managing paperwork to ensure a positive customer experience and accurate financial records for the dealership. Key Responsibilities: Transaction Processing: Accept payments (cash, credit, checks) for vehicle purchases, parts, and repair orders; calculate totals, apply discounts, and issue receipts. Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions about costs/payments, resolve basic complaints, and direct them to the right department (sales, service). Cash Handling: Manage cash drawers, reconcile daily transactions, process credit card slips, and ensure all funds balance accurately. Administrative Duties: File repair orders, scan documents, manage office supplies, assist with mail, and document transactions in the system. Reporting: Prepare daily reports, ensure accuracy of repair orders and invoices, and assist the accounting department. Essential Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to handle money and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with dealership software and basic computer skills. A valid driver's license is often required.
