Job Description As a Forensic Consultant, you will conduct field investigations into incidents such as fires, floods, explosions, hurricanes, vehicle impacts, and structural failures. You will analyze findings, develop detailed reports and repair scopes, and interface directly with clients. Qualifications, • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related technical field., • 1–4 years of experience in building design, construction, or inspection., • EIT required for engineers; PE preferred., • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills., • Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals., • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with construction codes preferred., • Physical ability to access roofs, crawl spaces, and uneven terrain. Additional Information The annualized base pay range for this role is $90-140k. VERTEX offers a solid total compensation package including base salary and discretionary bonus plan. Responsibilities: • Supervises and leads electricians., • Assigns and schedules work activities of electricians, ensuring that preventative maintenance and calls are responded to quickly and efficiently., • Coordinates job scheduling with all levels of hospital personnel and outside contractors including shutdowns of electrical service and generator testing., • Evaluates the condition of electrical equipment and distribution systems to create a plan to repair or replace., • Supervises work performed to assure it conforms with established procedures, policies, codes and regulations., • Directs department employees in proper performance of electrical testing., • Establishes and implements plans for safety training for employees in the department., • Supervises repair of electrical work performed on all non-patient related equipment., • Supervises the electrical installation of new equipment., • Monitors and observes electrical work performed by outside contractors for compliance with hospital standards., • Responds to all fire and disaster alarms., • Works with the Safety Officer to provide a reliable fire system and electrical system., • Performs tests on electrical equipment and documents results., • Remains current regarding code requirements and changes in local, state, and federal codes and regulations., • Remains current on NFPA and National Electrical Codes dealing with fire alarm systems and Life Safety Codes. Must be available all shifts for shut downs, generator testing, etc. This position is union, Local 399. Benefits are provided through the union. Qualifications Required: • High School Diploma or GED., • Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent training., • Minimum of five years’ experience as a journeyman electrician. Preferred: • Electrical Supervisor experience in a hospital environment.
