Job Description City Wide Facility Solutions is excited to welcome a full-time 2nd Shift Night Manager to our vibrant Central New Jersey office! Objective As a Night Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that our Independent Contractors (IC) deliver janitorial and other maintenance services that align with our high-quality standards and meet our clients' specific needs. Your responsibilities will involve visiting various client facilities in a designated area of Central New Jersey, including warehouses, distribution centers, auto dealerships, industrial plants, offices, and medical facilities. The Night Manager should be adept at exercising good judgment when it comes to addressing issues, providing proactive coaching to improve performance, and being ready to "roll up their sleeves" to tackle challenges as they arise. Essential functions • Develop and maintain productive, working relationships with Independent Contractors (IC) and In-House labor by communicating client priorities and collaborating on solving problems., • Review scope of work and ensure quality assurance., • Communicate with Facility Solutions Manager daily for any issues that need immediate attention, including a nightly recap via email or phone message., • Make recommendations for work assignments and terminations when necessary., • Manage inspections, customer complaints, and customer requests following City Wide policies and procedures., • Oversee new account starts, • Ensure compliance with client policies & procedures, approved cleaning tools and equipment and their proper use., • Other duties as necessary. Overview of a Typical Day • 4pm - Clock in at our East Brunswick office. Meet with our Facility Solutions Managers to discuss any client complaints, new starts, feedback on cleaning crews, etc. Read the day's inspection reports. Confirm the accounts you'll visit tonight., • 5pm - 11pm - Visit accounts (typically visit a specific geographic area in Central New Jersey....could be Edison one night and Toms River another night, etc.). Visit accounts with complaints first and then check in on other accounts. Route is often planned out in advance for the week, but could change based on customer issues or emergencies. Take any phone calls from cleaning crews while in transit to troubleshoot issues. Position Requirements • Typical working hours 4pm - 12am (can be flexible with hours), • High school diploma required or equivalent experience in commercial janitorial services industry., • Three years of prior experience in management; coaching, motivating, developing, and leading a team in multi-unit or locations., • Strong planning, organization skills, and attention to detail., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Must have reliable transportation as job requires traveling to client sites across Central New Jersey, • Must be innovative and strive for continuous process improvement., • Bilingual Spanish is highly desired, • Handyman, carpet cleaning, strip/wax, etc. or other relevant experience a plus. Responsibilities • Studio cleaning and prepping, including cleaning of exercise equipment (bikes, weights), floors and mirrors, • Common area cleaning, including bathrooms, lockers, front desk, offices and hallways, • Ability to service athletic equipment along with previous experience working with cleaning products and hand tools ., • General building maintenance inside and outside, • Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming., • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment, • Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies, • Follow housekeeping schedule, • Landscaping, • Use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers, • Moving equipment, supplies, and furniture, • Informing managers about required repair and maintenance activities, • Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required, • Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers, • Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs, • Sometimes subject to external weather conditions, • Engage in repair activities when needed, • Must be able to work evenings and hours after close, • Must have experience as a custodian, janitor or similar role, • Minimum 2 years of experience., • Excellent cleaning skills - Must possess a clear understanding of what constitutes a clean and sanitary environment, • Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances, • Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices, • Task oriented excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work load; and, • Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, adaptable to new or changing circumstances, professional demeanor, self-motivated, creative and innovative, • Must be able to lift 50 lbs;, • Must be able to sustain physical work for 8 hours per day including standing, reaching and pulling, • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities, • Task oriented excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work load, • Friendly, personable, cooperative team player, professional demeanor, self-motivated, • Detail oriented and thorough, • Dependable and reliable, • Ability to take direction well
