Job Description Your day on the converting floor You clock in for first shift, review the job ticket, and set up the right combination of converting machines — die cutter, window patcher, slitter, folder-gluer, and laminator — to turn printed sheets and raw stock into precise, retail-ready packaging. You dial in registration, verify tolerances, and fine-tune adhesive application. Throughout the run, you keep a close eye on quality, make real-time adjustments, and document output, waste, downtime, and materials. Between jobs, you clean, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot. You collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams, and you share what you know by training helper/operators. What you’ll do • Set up, adjust, and operate converting machines (e.g., die cutters, window patchers, slitters, folders, gluers, laminators)., • Read and interpret job tickets, specifications, and production schedules., • Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production runs., • Make real-time adjustments to maintain tolerances, registration, and adhesive application., • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of equipment., • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards., • Accurately record production data, waste, downtime, and material usage., • Follow all safety procedures, GMPs, and company policies., • Communicate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues., • Train and assist helper/operators as assigned. What you bring, • High school diploma or GED., • 1–3 years operating converting or packaging equipment., • Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills., • Ability to read measuring devices and production specifications., • Strong attention to detail and quality., • Comfort standing for extended periods and lifting materials as required.
