Job DescriptionDescription: The Maintenance Technician ensures that all hotel equipment, facilities, and structures are in excellent condition. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing systems promptly to minimize downtime and maintain guest satisfaction. Responsibilities & Duties • Respond to and attend guest repair requests promptly., • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems., • Repair and replace faulty equipment and fixtures., • Maintain hotel’s physical appearance, including painting, plastering, and carpentry., • Operate and maintain advanced electrical, plumbing, and boiler systems., • Monitor fire alarm and life safety systems., • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts as needed., • Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas., • Train and instruct other staff members as required., • Perform emergency repairs and protect guests and property during emergencies., • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams., • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, • Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment, • Good communication and organizational skills, • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, • Valid driver license legally allowing driving for work purposes during working hours, • Valid automobile insurance when operating a vehicle for business purposes, • Must be available for emergencies and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, • Exposure to varying temperatures and working with tools and machinery, • Ability to stand, walk, climb, and move throughout the property for extended periods while performing maintenance and repairs, • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, reach overhead, and twist while working in guest rooms, mechanical spaces, rooftops, and back-of-house areas, • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of tools, equipment, parts, and materials, generally up to 50 pounds, • Ability to use ladders and stairs safely and work at varying heights, • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and mobile devices, • Ability to operate maintenance equipment such as drills, saws, meters, pumps, and HVAC tools in a safe manner, • Ability to tolerate exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, temperature extremes, electrical components, and confined spaces, • Visual ability to inspect equipment, read gauges, diagrams, work orders, and safety instructions, • Auditory and verbal ability to communicate with guests, coworkers, vendors, and management, and respond to alarms or emergency situations, • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts, as required by hotel operations
