Job Description Department: Facilities Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Experience routine building and grounds maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, motor and bearing lubrication, mechanical maintenance, painting, general construction, & drywall maintenance or repairs., • Implement preventative maintenance measures., • Familiar with industrial air compressors systems and compressed air distribution, process water chillers and cooling towers, fire suppression and alarm systems, HVAC systems, pumps, valves, motors, & fans., • Perform daily visual and physical inspections of the facility and its supporting equipment and contents., • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies., • The ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, & electric hand truck is a plus. The ability to diagnose and perform routine maintenance for electric hand trucks is a plus., • Oversee the work from outside contractors and other service providers like plumbers & electricians., • Assist in facility projects with EH&S & other departments as requested., • Excellent time management and organization skills., • Adaptability, positive attitude, and sense of urgency to complete tasks in a professional manner., • Able to respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocols like lock-out, tag-out (LOTO)., • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted., • Experienced in operating a variety of tools. The ability to operate machine shop equipment like band saws, drill presses, wire feed welders, belt sanders, & end mills is a plus., • Able to work well with minimal supervision., • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures and regulations., • Occasionally work different or overtime hours if needed to complete a repair or project.
