Job Description Position Summary The Network Operations Technician is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting network connectivity across multiple systems and environments. This role ensures the stability and performance of network operations while responding to alerts, troubleshooting issues, and assisting in system upgrades and maintenance. This is a 3rd Shift Position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Monitor network and system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability across enterprise environments., • Respond to network alerts, incidents, and service interruptions to restore connectivity quickly., • Troubleshoot network issues involving routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and cabling., • Collaborate with internet service providers (ISPs) and carriers to resolve outages and performance issues., • Configure and support VPN connections, remote access, and network security controls., • Maintain and update network documentation, including configurations and incident logs., • Assist with system upgrades, software updates, and hardware installations., • Provide technical support for voice, data, and wireless communications systems., • Follow established escalation procedures and communicate effectively with internal teams., • Participate in on-call rotation or after-hours support as needed., • Perform other network-related duties as assigned. Qualifications • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Networking preferred., • Experience:, • 2–4 years of related experience in network operations, IT support, or helpdesk environments preferred., • Exposure to enterprise network monitoring or troubleshooting tools., • Technical Skills:, • Working knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs)., • Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools such as ping, traceroute, Wireshark, or SolarWinds., • Understanding of routing, switching, and WAN/LAN technologies., • Knowledge of VoIP and wireless networking preferred., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ticketing/documentation systems., • Certifications: CompTIA Network+, A+, CCNA preferred., • Other Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
