Job Description Overview The Center Director is the on-site business and people leader responsible for the daily performance of an early childhood education center. This role owns enrollment execution, team leadership, operational quality, and family experience within the center. Operating as the leader of the business, the Center Director ensures consistent delivery of high-quality care and education while maintaining compliance, staffing stability, and strong family engagement. While supported by centralized systems and resources, the Center Director is accountable for executing day-to-day operations and achieving performance expectations at the center level. Scope of Responsibility • Center-level enrollment, retention, and family experience, • Daily operational execution, including staffing and ratios, • Licensing compliance, safety, and program quality, • Hiring, development, and retention of center staff The successful Center Director is strong people leader and operator who thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment by demonstrating: • Ownership of center performance and daily execution, • Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team, • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, • Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance, • 2–5+ years of leadership experience in early childhood education or a similar service environment, • Bachelor’s degree preferred (ECE or related field a plus), • Experience supervising staff and managing day-to-day operations, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
